Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

This policy describes what data about your visit and your play we process, why, and for how long. We comply with the GDPR and with Czech personal data processing law.

1. Data controller

The data controller is David Fojtík, an individual and the author of Kvazar Online. You can contact me by sending a private message to Fortuno on the official Kvazar Online Discord.

2. What data and why

a) Game account (on registration and while playing): nickname, e-mail (encrypted), password (hashed), game progress. Purpose: running your game account. Legal basis: performance of the service you requested.

b) Waitlist: the e-mail address you voluntarily submit on the landing page. We only use it to announce the test launch. Legal basis: your consent expressed by submitting the form.

c) Visit statistics (only with your consent). We collect:

Purpose: measuring traffic and improving the game. Legal basis: your consent. Without consent, nothing from point c) is collected.

3. Retention period

4. Who we share data with

Data is stored on a technical hosting provider's server. To determine an approximate country and city, the server sends the IP address to ip-api.com; we then store only its hash and the geolocation result. We do not share data with advertising networks and do not use profiling or automated decision-making.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, and to withdraw your consent (the “Change cookie consent” link in the footer). You can withdraw consent at any time — the collection of statistics stops immediately. To withdraw waitlist consent or request access, correction or erasure, use the contact in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů).

6. Cookies and storage

A detailed overview of the keys we store can be found in our Cookie Policy.
